In Prep for Cross Country, I took the kids to our favorite hiking spot and look what Zoey found! She loves finding mushrooms in the woods! From now until mid-November is the best time to find Chicken of the woods. You'll find it mostly on downed dead trees laying on the ground. It's easy to identify with its bright orange top and yellow underside. Get out in the woods! Send us a pic if you find some and well make sure it's for sure COTW! Good luck
